Floor removal
Slate removal
Slate breaks into thin, sharp pieces when you remove it. This makes a large quantity of debris and a large quantity of fine dust. Both stay in the containment.
What to expect
Slate does not come up in clean pieces. It breaks along its natural layers. A slate floor becomes a large quantity of sharp pieces. The crew clears these pieces as the work continues. We then grind the mortar bed below the slate.
We put all the debris into bags and remove it. You do not get a pile in the driveway, and you do not rent a container.
Questions and answers
-
Is slate more difficult to remove than ceramic tile?
- It makes more debris, because it breaks instead of lifts. The method and the dust collection are the same.
