What we do
Kodiak Dustless removes floors and does interior demolition in the Phoenix Valley. We remove tile, travertine, slate, flagstone, carpet, linoleum, LVP, glue-down wood and nail-down wood. We work inside and outside the house. We always remove the thinset, mortar or adhesive below the floor.
We also do the other demolition. This includes kitchens, bathrooms, cabinets, drywall, framing, ceiling insulation and small commercial work. Each job includes waste removal. To leave a pile of debris in the driveway is not a complete job.
Why the dust is important
If you remove a floor without containment, fine dust fills the house. It goes into the air ducts, into the furniture and onto all flat surfaces. It then continues to appear for several weeks. Arizona already has much dust, so this is a bad condition to give to a customer.
Our system collects approximately 99% of the dust at the point where the tool makes it. The equipment has an Arizona patent and it is the best that we used. It lets you stay in the house during the job. It also lets us keep a simple standard: your house will be as clean when we leave as it was when we arrived.
About silica dust
Tile, stone, thinset and concrete contain silica. When a tool cuts or grinds these materials, it releases fine silica dust. Long exposure to this dust can damage the lungs.
This is one reason why people choose dust-free removal. Our system collects approximately 99% of the dust at the tool, before it goes into the air.
Our crew and our tools
Kodiak has been in business on its own since 2015, but our crew started before that. Many of them learned this work from the people who invented these dust-free systems.
Since then, we improved the tools, and we make some of them ourselves. Better tools let the crew work faster and let us keep the price low.
How we give a price
We give a price for each square foot, on the telephone when we can. If you know the area and the material, you can have a correct number in a few minutes. You do not need a visit to learn the price.
Service work has no sales tax in Arizona. We do not add fees for travel, for the dump or for fuel. The price that we give is the price that you pay, and it includes waste removal. We send invoices and schedules by text message and email. You can pay by card, cash, check or Venmo.
Who our customers are
Most of our work comes from general contractors, flooring stores and installers. They give the demolition to us. The other customers are owners who call us directly. They have small houses and large houses, including large properties in North Scottsdale. The method is the same for all of them.
