Demolition

Kitchen and bathroom demolition

We remove cabinets, counters, backsplash, vanities, tubs and surrounds. If the new design needs it, we go to the bare studs and the bare slab.

Kitchens

We remove the upper and lower cabinets, the counters, the backsplash tile, the island and the floor. If you keep the appliances, we disconnect them and put them in a safe place. If you do not keep them, we remove them.

A kitchen is a room that people need. We do the work in stages, so that the house stays in use. We also clean the area at the end of each day, not only at the end of the job.

Bathrooms

We remove the vanity, the tub, the shower surround, the wall tile, the floor tile and the mortar beds below them. Installers frequently set bathroom tile in thick mud beds. This material is heavy and slow to remove. It is the reason that bathroom prices change so much from one job to the next.

Tell us if this is the only bathroom in the house. We then plan the stages around it.

Where our work stops

We disconnect and remove the fixtures. We are not a plumber and we are not an electrician. Work that needs those licenses is for your plumber or your electrician. We tell you what you need before we start.

Questions and answers

Can you remove a bathroom to the studs?
Yes. The tile, the backer board, the mud beds, the tub, the surround and the vanity all come out. The framing and the slab stay for the new work.
Do you disconnect plumbing and electrical?
We disconnect and remove the fixtures as part of the job. Work that needs a licensed plumber or electrician is not our work. We tell you what you need before we start.
How long does a bathroom take?
A usual bathroom takes 1 day. It takes 2 days if the room is large or the tile is in deep mud beds. We give you the number of days with the price.

One telephone call is usually sufficient.

Tell us the area in square feet and the material on the floor. We give you a price during the call. If you want us to measure the area, a visit takes 20 to 30 minutes.
